One of the key members of our team, Mr. Prakash is a strong advocate of a healthy lifestyle and believes that people need to stay connected with their roots. The Discovery Village operations are inspired by these ideas. He draws from 40 years of experience in the industrial sector to support our enterprise and is passionate about providing quality service.
Mrs. Amitha Prashanth
A child psychologist with an entrepreneurial streak, Amitha’s firm conviction is that human potential is invaluable and can be unlocked, if provided the right opportunities. She gave form to these ideas by founding Prayag (a Montessori) and later extended them to Discovery Village. Amitha also holds a Diploma in Business Management. She guides our operations with a mix of business acumen and talent management skills.
Consultant – Strategy and Operations
Ranjit brings over 12 years of experience in driving operations and customer service programs. With successful stints at telecommunications, media and retail enterprises in Europe and Asia, he has enabled companies to conceptualize and implement change management, performance management and process standardization initiatives. His efforts ensure that operations at Discovery Village consistently meet global standards.
Mr. Muni, as he is popularly called, has been a part of the outbound industry for over 30 years and brings a wealth of experience in training people for outdoor survival. As a teenager, he was enthusiastic about rock climbing, rope courses and other adventure activities, and nurtured the interest over the years, completing courses in navigation, mountaineering and white water rafting. He has been a guest faculty member at adventure academies and a lead instructor for training NCC cadets and troops from the armed forces. He also has the distinction of training the Karnataka Police in forest combing, navigation and wilderness survival for catching the bandit Veerappan.
Asher N C
Senior Group Facilitator
Asher experienced the power of a team-building program during his stint in the corporate world and realized the importance of nurturing people’s potential. After that, there was no looking back. He trained to become an experiential educator and completed a ‘Train the Outbound Trainer’ program. An engineer by qualification, he now has over 10 years of experience in outbound training. Asher believes that strong leadership and great team coordination are prerequisites for success. Be it to meet corporate goals or achieve personal milestones. He is currently pursing a Diploma in Experiential Education and Practices.
Manager – Client Relations and Activities
Santosh is a certified experiential educator, facilitator and outbound trainer with years of experience in training corporates. An adventure enthusiast, he has conducted many high-energy sports events including the Rugged Sahyadri adventure race. He has also designed one of India's toughest obstacle endurance races: Ruggedian. From reading maps to canoeing, kayaking and volunteering for wildlife census – Santosh’s love for the outdoors takes on many shades. When not busy training corporates, you’ll find him trekking in the Sahyadris or going trigger-happy with his camera.
Mr. Tintu Sam Cherian
Assistant Resort Manager
Sam Cherian is a people person and enjoys being part of the hospitality industry. He started his career as a trainee at the Trident Hotel in 2003 and over the next decade, proved his mettle at leading hotels such as the Harbor View Residency and Taj Malabar in Cochin. These years helped sharpen his customer relations, operations and team management skills. He later joined Brigade Hospitality Services Ltd as the Operations Manager. Sam Cherian has an MBA in Hotel Management and an undergraduate degree in hotel management and catering technology.
