responsible tourism

Our resorts are about responsible luxury. We believe in giving back to the earth and its people and have incorporated several eco-friendly, sustainable practices into our operations.

rainwater harvesting
Water is a precious resource. We harvest rain-water on campus and ensure it is efficiently utilized, thus minimising the burden on local water resources. Our swimming pool is also maintained efficiently; the water is cleaned and re-used.
ECO FRIENDLY ARCHITECTURE
Our buildings use earth-friendly materials and are designed for energy efficiency. Bamboo and terracotta tiles keep the indoors cool, reducing the need for artificial cooling mechanisms. The look and feel is also in sync with the local ethos.
Alternative energy sources
We tap into alternative sources of energy. Solar energy meets a significant part of our fuel requirements. Our Kanakpura facility has a windmill, which is often used to generate power. We are also testing the potential use of biogas on campus.

SUSTAINABILITY
Our responsible business practices include empowering the communities that live around our resorts. We provide gainful employment to the local population and acknowledge their invaluable contributions to our operations. We also source locally farmed produce, where possible, to nurture the local economy and reduce food miles.
